From the Kwik Trip Pits.... Happy Fourth of July!!! Good luck to all of you at Sauk. I will be out in the boat fishing and relaxing. Unfortunately for you, some quality time with my family took precedence and I will not be able to make it to Sauk. We will be back at Newton, and have lots of goodies. I miss you all. Best wishes, drive safe, and we will see soon! Christa-KT

From the Chris Wimmer Pits... Chris won the 6th Annual Flip Merwin Memorial on Thursday night at State Park Speedway in Wausau, WI. Chris also had fast time and won his heat to complete a clean sweep.

While it’s nice for Wimmer to find victory lane once again, his win Thursday means a little more. “Flip used to help my brother on his car a lot and he helped me for a number of years,” said Wimmer, “To come out here and race so well and win on his night is really special to me. He was such a great person and friend and to win this race means a lot.”

This is a new way to advertise our products to you. We can make paper ads all day long and not describe the products in enough detail to answer your questions. You will have to forgive us the videos are raw no actors here just real racers making real parts for real racers. If you have any comments or questions on any products just send us an e-mail and we will address it for you. Once again WM with an original idea a You Tube portal to better serve you our customers.

From the Norway Speedway Pits... Racing icon and supporter of the ASAMT Gene Coleman wins feature event at one of the newest ASA member race tracks at Norway Mi. He raced side by side for over 10 laps with another Coleman Machine owned car driven by Troy Nelson. Fast Gene 119 is the founder of Coleman Racing Products and a huge supporter of Norway Speedway. Gene bested 27 other younger drivers to win the 35 lap main event. Only one driver is older than Mr. Coleman. Hats off to a great supporter of short track auto racing, Norway Speedway and the ASAMT.

From the Kyle Calmes Pits... The # 9 Arby's car of Kyle Calmes is ready for Jefferson. We are a little disappointed with our finish at Madison. Kyle ran a good race with a top 5 car. He patiently let some of the veteran drivers go to save his equipment falling from 2nd to 8th. Then with 20 laps to go started his way to the front. Running hard with the 97 when he was collected while trying to pass the 21. Its unfortunate for Jamie in the 97 as he had a good run going and was headed for a top 5.Kyle was sent to the rear where with 13 laps left finished 16th. We are looking forward to Jefferson even though this will be one of our hardest tracks.

From the Kwik Trip Pits... Another week, and another race! Looks like we are going to have great weather for racing and raffling. Just a reminder, if you did not check your numbers in Madison, there are several prizes that were not claimed. We will have them in Jefferson, so bring your tickets and may you will take home a prize!

We will be doing another raffle in Jefferson, and once again Gary will be unable to attend. I actually found out Gary's Raffle Ticket sales record is about $2,200. Let see if we can out do that in Jefferson. There are more great prizes... and I was just informed that there will be a $100 and a $50 Gas & Gift Cards as prizes for the drivers & crews only!!

There are some new products rolling out at Kwik Trip. So, we will have some other new treats down in the pits... so look for us with beverages and snacks! Drive safe & see you Saturday. Christa, Ruanna, & Randie

From the Kwik Trip Pits... First, we would like to thank everyone for their support of Special Olympics at the Madison Race. We sold, $1,413 in raffle tickets. That combined with the $1.00 from each ticket sale comes pretty close to record sales set by Gary. There were several pit prizes that were not claimed in Madison, we will bring them to Jefferson. So, if you still have your tickets, come check your numbers. We will be doing another raffle for Special Olympics at Jefferson, with some more great prizes... Lets see if we can set some more record sales numbers.

Also, we know that there were several teams at Madison that were not at Elko, and thus you missed out on the hats and calendars. We will have them with us in Jefferson so if you didn't get hats and calendars or if you need more please let us know. (Lets give Doug Hornickel a big "thank you" for all of the wonderful photo's in the calendar!) Have a great weekend... we are sure you will all be busy working on your cars. Although we don't have a car to work on, we did have to order a couple of parts for the Cruzin Cooler... so Christa will have to spend a little time in the "shop" this weekend to. See you all in Jefferson!! Gary, Christa, Amanda, Ruanna, & Randie.

From the Chris Wimmer Pits... Chris Wimmer’s day at Madison International Speedway went from bad to good in a matter of three hours Sunday. When the #52 Chevy hit the track for first practice, Wimmer registered the second slowest time in the group. Wimmer and his crew went hard to work on the car, making wholesale changes for the next practice. Said Wimmer, “The set up we went to the track with was just way off. We were too soft and had trouble getting through the corners because the nose was dragging.”

Those changes paid off and Wimmer found himself 13th in the second practice and then went out and qualified 11th, putting him in the ECHO Chainsaw 100 on time. “We worked really hard on the car during the end of the first practice and before the second. It’s nice to see that pay off and it’s always nice to get in on time right away and focus on the feature.”

With the inverted start Wimmer started on the pole at Madison International Speedway. During the 100 laps he slipped out of the top ten only once and avoided getting caught in three incidents that happened in front of him to bring out cautions. Wimmer lined up 6th for the final restart with just 13 laps to go and help his ground to take the checkered flag in that position. “From where we started the day to where we ended, I’m really happy and thankful to my crew for all their hard work. We were really tight during the race, so to finish where I did is exciting.”

Wimmer’s sixth place finish at MIS moves him up two places and in to ninth in the ASA Midwest Tour point standings. Said Wimmer, “To be in the top ten in points just two races in is great. Of course you always want to be higher, but it’s so important in this series to get in the points and stay towards the top.”

From the Tim Schendel Pits... Iron Eagle Racing and driver Tim Schendel traveled to Madison, WI Sunday, May 4th for the ECHO Chainsaw 100.

Tim and the team were ready to rock as both practice sessions went real well with fifth and seventh fastest overall times for the sessions. “The car was handling really well,”stated Schendel. “We really only needed to make minor adjustments to get the car where we needed it.” The day proved to get even better with a solid qualifying run and ending up fourth quickest and capturing the fourth spot in the odd/even heat from starting in the last row. Unfortunately the remainder of the night would not be so good for Schendel and team.

With the invert, Tim started the main event in the eighth spot. Tim quickly worked his way up to third and then battled back and forth throughout the race for a top five spot.
On a restart tight in traffic Tim was racing for fourth position. Things became heated between the #9 and #97 car where Tim fell victim to circumstance. Unfortunately Tim spun on the backstretch but was able to complete the race salvaging a 17th place finish. “I’m pretty disappointed. The car was running good and we had a top 5 car. Unfortunately we got tangled up in that mess… I just didn’t have luck on my side,” commented Schendel.
