Daytona Beach, FL (Friday, February 15, 2008) – The race teams that participated in the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment Banquet back on January 26th at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI, left with more than just a check. Some received gifts that will help them prepare for the 2008 season.

Hoosier Racing Tires was a big supporter of the inaugural season for the ASAMT with their support towards the point fund program. With their support along with the other sponsors, a total of $126,000 was handed out in cash and prizes at the banquet.

2007 ASAMT Champion, Nathan Haseleu, not only walked away with a check for $6,650. He, along with his Swiss Colony Race Team, took home a list of contingency prizes including: Power Train Technology 5.5� Complete Clutch Assembly valued at $900, Penske/Competition Tire $300 Product Certificate, AP Brakes provided one complete set of front and rear brake discs valued at $400, a Kwik Trip Gas Card for $200, a chain saw from Echo Outdoor Power Equipment, a $200 certificate from Draco Springs, and a Champions jacket from Hoosier Racing Tires.

Monday, January 28, 2008 (Daytona Beach, FL) – A large gathering was on hand at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI this past Saturday night, January 26th, to celebrate the inaugural season of the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment. The evening was highlighted with presenting Nathan Haseleu with his championship trophy along with many other awards and prizes.

Drivers, crew members, guest and their families arrived early on Saturday to have the opportunity to enjoy “America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark� that the Kalahari Resort is well known for. Later that evening, after a reception and great meal, ASAMT VP Steve Einhaus introduced Jim Tretow as the emcee for the Awards Ceremony.

Tretow talked about how thrilled he was to be invited to emcee the inaugural event and shared his thoughts about the success he saw and heard from others in the media in regards to the success of the ASAMT.

Monday, January 21, 2008 (Daytona Beach, FL) – Final preparations are being made for the 2007 ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour Presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment Championship Banquet this Saturday night at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Along with honoring the top drivers from the 2007 season, three drivers will be going home with a brand new race engine.

Tesar Engineering located in Long Lake, MN, B & B Racing Engines located in Appleton, WI and Pro Power Racing in Sullivan, WI will each be giving away a new engine this Saturday night. This giveaway alone is over $75,000 and only a part of the awards to be handed out this Saturday night. “Over 30 different engine parts manufacturers from across the nation have donated the parts to these engines. Carburetor to oil pan, they’ll be complete and ready to race,� stated Steve Einhaus, ASAMT VP.

The eligible drivers for this drawing must have competeted in 75% of the ASAMT races and ran a built racing engine during the 2007 season in 75% of the races.

The ASA Midwest Tour will be hosting a 2008 Pre-Season meeting on Sunday, January 27th at 11 a.m. at the Kalahari Resort Convention Center, Room B, in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

This meeting will include: discussion of the upcoming 2008 season, rule updates, procedures, ASA membership information, and Introduction of sponsors, along with new and exciting plans for 2008.

All paid registered drivers will receive a variety of gifts from our series sponsors!!! Drivers can pay for their memberships that day.

Also at this meeting, the ASAMT will be having a photo shoot for individual driver photos as well as the 2008 Touring Stars. All drivers interested in competing, are asked to bring their driver suits and shoes for the photos. These photos will be used by the ASAMT for promotional and publicity purposes.

Wednesday, January 16, 2008 (Daytona Beach, FL) – ASAMT officials are proud to announce that veteran motorsports broadcaster Jim Tretow will be emceeing the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment Championship Banquet on Saturday, January 26th at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

Tretow, a Wisconsin native, is a pit reporter for SPEED TV. He follows and reports on all forms of motorsports as the host of the Milwaukee-based weekly radio program, “The Racing Round Up Show�, now in its 24th season.

He also is the trackside public address announcer at Phoenix International Raceway and at Daytona International Speedway, where next month he will introduce the starting line-up of the 50th running of the Daytona 500.

“I’m flattered to be involved,� Tretow recently stated. “I’ve followed many of the ASA Midwest Tour competitors and look forward to being part of a celebration culminating the series’ impressive season.�

Tretow’s full-time job is VP – Media & Communications at The Milwaukee Mile, where the ASAMT will visit in August.

Advance banquet tickets are available for $50 a person if your reservation is made by January 16th. Any tickets purchased after the 16th will be $75.
