BURLINGTON, WI (Thursday, May 08, 2008) – The ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment would not be successful without the help of our marketing partners and sponsors. Last Saturday’s Kwik Trip Stores 100 had a great field of competitors with a majority taking home contingency bonuses.

In order to receive the awards, the driver must be a full ASA member and their teams must satisfy all manufacturers’ requirements (decals, patches and post race interview criteria.) The awards listed for each driver is on top of the event purse payout they received.

Kwik Trip Stores 100 Contingency Awards:

Jonathan Eilen, 1st Place: AVCOMM, $100; Penske Racing, $100; Schaeffer’s Oil, one case of oil; Tilton, $125; Tex Racing, $100, ASAMT Touring Star Bonus: $400.

Jamie Iverson, 2nd Place: Hawk, $100; Penske, $100; Schaeffer’s Diesel Treat, 12 pints; Touring Star Bonus: $350.

BURLINGTON, WI (Monday, May 19, 2008) - The third event of the 2008 ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment season, the Kwik Trip Stores 100, is now in the record books. Jonathan Eilen became the second driver to capture more than one ASAMT win as he now joins Dan Fredrickson on the list. Eilen’s last win came at the ASAMT Inaugural event at Elko Speedway in April, 2007.

HORSTMAN SETS A NEW MARK AT JEFFERSON

Blake Horstman was still surprised as he accepted his first ECHO Power Blower for setting the fast time at Jefferson Speedway. Horstman didn’t think he would be that fast.

But he, along with Matt Kocourek, both qualified under the old track record set by Dan Lensing last year. Lensing set a fast time of 13.815 seconds (65.146 mph). Horstman ripped off a lap of 13.729 seconds (65.554 mph). Kocourek’s lap time was 13.775 seconds (65.335 mph).

The difference from the fast qualifier, Horstman, to the slowest qualifier, Russ Blakeley’s 14.491 seconds (62.107 mph), was 0.762 seconds.
