CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (Friday, July 3, 2009) - Steve Carlson captured his sixth, third in a row, Keith Fleck Miller 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA. It is also his third American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment series win of the season holding off a star studed field of Midwest drivers including the current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points leader.

A great crowd was on hand as ASAMT officials hurried to get the event in with rain inching closer and closer to the Cedar Rapids area. The crowd witnessed history being made with Carlson holding off Mark Kraus for the win. “This is really cool, Keith Fleck and his sons are really good friends of mine and I know them all. Its really neat to win this as many times,” a happy Carlson stated in victory lane. “I had a lot of fun tonight, the car handled perfect.”

BURLINGTON, WI (Friday, June 26, 2009) – It will be the only time that the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment will be racing on a Friday night this season. It will be next Friday, July 3rd at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA for the 37th Annual Keith Fleck Miller 100.

Steve Carlson will be going for his third in a row, sixth overall win in this prestigious event. Last year, Carlson dominated the 100-lap event by holding off Johnny Sauter and Dan Fredrickson for his fifth victory. His previous wins came in 1996, 1997, 2001, 2007 and now, 2008.

Joining the ASAMT Touring Stars for this year’s event is current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series point leader Ron Hornaday, Jr. Hornaday recently won his second Truck Series event at The Milwaukee Mile. The four-time Series champion will be looking for his first ASAMT win at Hawkeye Downs.

Hornaday will be arriving on Thursday night and will be at a pre-race party at Checkers Tavern which is located near the track.
