In 2009, Carlson collected his tenth career series championship and his first American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net Championship.

(Wednesday, January 27, 2010) The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and Grandstay® Residential Suites Hotels 2009 series banquet was held this past Saturday at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Steve Carlson was honored with his first ASA Midwest Tour Championship and tenth series championship of his career and Jacob Goede was honored as the 2010 Rookie of the Year. The top 16 drivers and others were also honored during the awards presentation.


2009 ASA Midwest Tour Champion to compete in ASA Transcontinental Series FreeState 500 in South Africa.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Release Date) - He recently collected his tenth series championship, first with the American Speed Association. He also has been a national champion and got to fly with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds flight team. But now, Steve Carlson will take his first overseas flight to compete in the American Speed Association Transcontinental Series FreeState 500 on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Phakisa Freeway Circuit oval in Welkom, Free State South Africa.

BURLINGTON, WI (Monday, October 19, 2009) – Steve Carlson will admit that going into the 2009 racing season, one thing not on his agenda was to capture the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment’s Championship. But the racing veteran from West Salem, WI won his tenth touring championship in his career, first with ASA, at the track that is only six blocks from home.
