ASAMT TOURING STAR HAS GOOD SHOWING AT BRISTOL

ASAMT PR (Kari Shear-Carlson)
March 25, 2011 - The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and GrandStay Hospitality is full of top-notch drivers. ASA Midwest Tour Swiss Colony Touring Star, Tim Schendel is taking some of his talent to the NASCAR Nationwide series.

This past weekend Schendel had the opportunity to be a part of one of the most exciting races and tracks on NASCAR’s circuit. Schendel qualified 28th at Bristol Motor Speedway. While that may not sound very good to the average person, for anyone trying to make it in the NASCAR ranks, it is a great day.

This was Schendel’s first visit to the high-banked oval. Jimmy Means had given Tim an opportunity to race in a couple events last year and they have the same relationship this year. So he hit the track for the first time in a brand new car. He finished 146 out of 300 laps and overall the weekend went very good.

From the Tim Schendel Pits... SCHENDEL HEADS BACK TO THE DELLS FOR ASA MIDWEST TOUR RACE Schendel hoping for better results at the Dells this weekend

Sparta, WI, July 16, 2009 -- ASA Midwest Tour driver and Sparta, WI native Tim
Schendel heads back to the Dells Raceway Park this Saturday, July 18 for “The Race
for the Gold” Silver race. The 125 lap feature is the second of three scheduled ASA
Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment races to be run
at Wisconsin Dells this season.

“Our first race at the Dells in May definitely didnʼt turn out like we had planned or
wanted. We had a lot of bad luck in that race with a poor handling car and suffering
damage at the beginning of the race.” Schendel recalled. “Weʼre definitely hoping for
better results with the #21 TexPar Energy Chevrolet this weekend.”

This race is part of a three race series to held at the Dells. “The Race for the Gold”
series will take the top finisher in all three races and award them with a bar of a gold.
Steve Carlson was the winner of the first “Race for the Gold” Bronze feature in May.
