By: Kari Shear-Carlson, ASA Midwest Tour PR
(Monday, March 15, 2010) Jonathan Eilen, driver of the #77 Eilen and Sons Trucking and Landscape Supplies Monte Carlo, started racing in the American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and Grandstay® Residential Suites Hotels series in 2007. He captured a victory in the series in both 2007 and 2008. While the Hampton, MN driver was winless in 2009 his performance was nothing short of impressive.

2007 ASAMT Rookie of the Year teams up with 2008 ARCA Champion Crew Chief

BURLINGTON, WI (Wednesday, May 06, 2009) – Jonathan Eilen won’t get this weekend off like most of the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment teams, instead he will make his ARCA Re/Max Series debut this Saturday night as he will compete in the Buckle Up Kentucky 150 at Kentucky Speedway.

“I will be racing for Capital City Motorsports with Larry Moore, Justin Allgaier’s crew chief from last year who won the ARCA championship,” the Hampton, MN driver recently stated. “I will be driving the #38 Quaker Steak & Lube/Eilen Trucking Dodge.”

From the Jonathan Eilen Pits... On November 23, 2008, my brother, Jake Eilen, sadly lost his life in a one vehicle roll-over accident. The accident occurred on a Sunday evening in front of our home. Jake was 27 years old.

There are no words to describe the pain of losing a loved one. We are left only with broken hearts and treasured memories of a person who lived his life with wide-open passion.

Jake was a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a grandson, a friend, and larger than life to those who had the pleasure of sharing their lives with him. Yet, there are no words that can do justice in accurately describing Jake. He was so many things to so many people.

Sixth in a series of 14 announcing the 2009 ASAMT Touring Stars

By: Kevin Ramsell
BURLINGTON, WI (Wednesday, December 10, 2008) – The 2007 American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment Rookie of the Year didn’t have the typical sophomore slump that some see in racing. Jonathan Eilen finished the 2008 ASAMT season finishing ninth in points and will be a part of the 2009 ASAMT Touring Star program.

“We had a really good year just that we didn’t get that bad luck out of our way. The car was good everywhere we went and it was fast every time we unloaded it. But, a flat tire here, brake line broke there, we blew a motor up at Milwaukee, it seemed like one thing like that,” Eilen stated when reviewing his season. “But all in all, we had a really good season, can’t complain too much on what happened. Now we are working on getting everything 100% for next year.”

His ninth place finish in the points came with a 2008 season record of one win, four top-five’s and eight top-ten finishes. He also started every feature event.
