04.24.09 - 7PM - PRACTICE TIMES
The practice session has ended today for the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment at Dells Raceway Park in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Over 40 teams were on hand to prepare for tomorrow’s running of the Race for the Gold Bronze 125.

Officials are planning on going on with the event tomorrow, but if anything changes we will post immediately on this website.

On Saturday, April 25th the pit gates will open at 10:00 am along with the ASAMT Practice Tech line opening as well. The driver/spotter/crew chief meeting will take place at 11:15 a.m.

The first practice session will start at noon and will go until 1:00 p.m. The Dells Raceway Park Super Stocks and Pure Stocks will practice from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The final ASAMT practice will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The fan gate will officially open at 2:30 p.m. with ASAMT Qualifying scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. The top-18 in qualifying will automatically be locked in to the feature event.

The popular ASAMT Autograph Session will start at 4:00 p.m. while the DRP Super Stocks and Pure Stocks qualify.

The racing action will get underway at 5 p.m. with the ASAMT Last Chance Race(s) which is 30-laps. The top-six will advance to the Race for the Gold 125. This will be followed by the Hoosier Tire Odd/Even Fast dashes (12-laps each).

The DRP Super Stocks and Pure Stocks will have their heat races followed by the driver introductions for the Race for the Gold Bronze Race feature event.

There will be a break at lap 75 on the infield then the feature event will conclude with a 50-lap shootout. The DRP Super Stocks and Pure Stocks will close out the night with their feature events.

As of 5:30pm, there are 41 ASAMT cars in the pits. Practice is going on until 7:00 pm tonight. Jeff Kendall had a fast lap of 13.495 seconds with Matt Kocourek setting a time of 13.571. Steve Carlson was third with a time of 13.634.

2008 ASAMT Champion Dan Fredrickson arrived late in the day and has been out practicing along with Bryan Reffner who has his father the great Tom Reffner right by his side helping him set up his car for tomorrow.

Some of the teams have already packed up for the day. In a quick survey with some in the pits, many are satisfied with the new F-45 tire that the ASAMT is running this season.

Over 30 American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment teams are practicing this afternoon at Dells Raceway Park in Wisconsin Dells, WI in preparation for tomorrow’s Race for the Gold Bronze Race.

Several of the ASAMT Touring Stars have taken to the track including 1995 ASA National Champion Bryan Reffner. Some of the drivers do have their transponders on their cars and we will provide lap times later this afternoon.
