BURLINGTON, WI (Monday, July 28, 2008) – One of the Midwest premier racing events returns to Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, WI on Tuesday, August 5th with the running of the SCAG Power Equipment Dixieland 150. This will be the ninth event in the 2008 American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and the fifth event for the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet.
WHAT WILL BE RACING?
The American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment Super Late Models will be competing in a 150-lap feature event. The event will have a ten minute break at the halfway mark.
Also competing will be the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet Limited Late Models in a 38-lap feature event.
WHO WILL BE RACING?
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point leader Kyle Busch will join the ASAMT Touring Stars and competitors in the SCAG Power Equipment Dixieland 150. For a complete list of ASAMT competitors, points, and all-time stats please visit www.asamidwesttour.com.
The BRP Big 8 Series will feature the best “Weekly Warrior” Limited Late Model drivers in the Midwest including defending champion Jeremy Miller, Rockford Speedway Spring Classic winner Michael Bilderback, and recent Golden Sands winner Ross Kenseth, son of 1993-94 WIR and 2003 NASCAR Champion Matt Kenseth.
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS, CAN I GET THEM IN ADVANCE, AND ANY COUPONS?
Tickets are $20 for ages 16 & up, $15 for ages 11-15 and ages 10 and under are FREE.
Advance tickets can be purchased at DJ’s Speedzone souvenir trailer located at WIR during any of the FRRC’s Thursday Night racing program.
There is also $3 off coupons available at participating Kwik Trip Stores, Papa John’s, and Arby’s locations in the Fox Valley area.
WILL I BE ABLE TO GET DRIVER AUTOGRAPHS?
Yes, the autograph session will start at 5:30 pm on the front stretch. Kyle Busch will also be participating in this.
