The last chance race had a great battle with Frank Kreyer holding off Chris Wimmer for the lead in the early going.
The caution flew on lap 14 when Thor Anderson and Brad Osborn got together on the backstretch causing both to make contact with the wall.
Osborn is trying to make repairs to his car as he is eligible for one of the Hawkeye Downs provisional for the main event.
On the re-start, Kreyer held off Wimmer lap after lap all the way to checkered flag to take the win. Both Kreyer and Wimmer will advance to the feature event.
Nick Murgic will get the ASAMT provisional while Osborn and Joey Gase will get the Hawkeye provisional’s. Ken Reiser is on stand-by in case Osborn is not able to make the call for the main event.
