Johnny Sauter beat out his nephew Travis to pick up his second ECHO Blow the Competition Away Qualifying award at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA. Sauter set a fast time of 18.427 seconds for tonight’s Keith Fleck Miller 100.

"It was good, but I was actually disappointed I was shooting for a teen or a twenty," Sauter stated on his second pole award. "But its cool, I got pretty loose off both ends and I think the track was about a tick wet. Anytime, you get quick time its a good deal and I am not going to complain. I'm just happy, three races with my own car and two quick times and if I would quit driving impatiently, we would have won a race by now."

Qualifying was delayed by 45 minutes as a small shower swept across the Speedway.

Travis Sauter was second quick with a time of 18.445 seconds with Jamie Iverson in third with a time of 18.467 seconds. Nathan Haseleu was fourth with a time of 18.525 seconds while Tim Schendel rounded out the top five with a time of 18.561 seconds.
