7PM - Heat/Dash/Last Chance Results
We are racing at Grundy. Andrew Morrissey,Matt Kocourek and Frank Kreyer have earned their starting spots for tonight’s ECHO Power Blower 100 by finishing first and second in the first qualifying heat. Stevie Campbell, Kyle Calmes and Mark Krause earned their starting spots in the second.
Steve Carlson won the odd fast heat while Nathan Haseleu held off a late charge by Tim Schendel to win the even heat.
Kris Kelly and Brandon Hill finished first and second in the last chance race. Brian Roach will get the ASAMT provisional while Tom Knippenburg got the Grundy provisional.
The ECHO Power Blower 100 presented by ProSource Motorsports and Hype Energy Drink is coming up.
4:40PM - Qualifying Results
Johnny Sauter set a new track record in qualifying for today’s ECHO Power Blower 100 presented by ProSource Motorsports and Hype Energy Drink. His fast time of 14.960 beat the old mark of 15.130 seconds set last year by Dan Fredrickson.
"I couldn't be happier, we learned a lot with the cars at Dells and it responded very well with the changes we put to it," Johnny Sauter stated. "We are real excited for tonight."
Jamie Iverson was second with a lap time of 15.017 seconds with Fredrickson in third with a time of 15.025 seconds. Travis Sauter was fourth with a lap time of 15.055 seconds and fifth was Brett Sontag with a time of 15.070.
The top 16 in time were separated by 0.216 seconds while the entire field was separated by 0.625 seconds.
The autograph session is taking place now with racing to begin at 6:00 pm.
3PM - Practice #2 Times
Tim Schendel led the pace in the second and final practice for tonight’s ECHO Power Blower 100 presented by ProSource Motorsports and Hype Energy Drink at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL. Schendel had a fast time of 15.238 seconds.
Dells winner Donny Reuvers was second with a lap time of 15.342 seconds with Jamie Iverson in third with a time of 15.345 seconds. Travis Sauter was fourth with a time of 13.353 seconds and current point leader Dan Fredrickson rounded out the top five with a time of 15.369 seconds.
Johnny Sauter was sixth with a time of 13.394 seconds.
The gap between the fastest and the slowest is only 0.711 seconds.
Qualifying starts at 4 pm with the autograph session under the grandstands at 4:45 pm. First race at 6 pm.
2PM - Practice #1 Times
The first practice session has ended for the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL. ASAMT teams are preparing for tonight’s ECHO Power Blower 100 presented by ProSource Motorsports and Hype Energy Drink.
Brett Sontag, the recent feature winner at Grundy, was the fastest in practice with a lap time of 15.469 seconds. Johnny Sauter was second with a lap time of 15.515 seconds with his nephew Travis in third with a lap time of 15.548 seconds. Dan Fredrickson was fourth with a time of 15.554 seconds while Steve Carlson rounded out the top five with a lap time of 15.575 seconds.
The second practice session will start soon.
12PM - The pits are starting to fill up at Grundy County Speedway for today’s ECHO Power Blower 100 presented by ProSource Motorsports and Hype Energy Drink. Pre-race tech is going on now.
The first practice will start at 1:00 pm with qualifying at 4:00 pm. First race at 6:00 pm.
The Grundy Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Legends will also be racing tonight.
