THE WORD “PASSION” SURROUNDS PROSOURCE MOTORSPORTS

By: Kevin Ramsell
BURLINGTON, WI (Tuesday, June 17, 2008) – No matter what dictionary you open, the common thread found in the definition of “passion” is “A powerful emotion.” It’s with passion that Rusty Ott has created a business that has become one of the Midwest’s Largest Yamaha and Suzuki dealership.

That passion is now flowing into short track racing as ProSource Motorsports has teamed up with the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment for this Sunday’s ECHO Power Blower 100 presented by ProSource Motorsports at Grundy County Speedway.

With Ott’s passion for motocross and his desire to share it with many people as possible, ProSource Motorsports, located in Morris, IL, has flourished in its 12 years of operation.

“Rusty Ott has been in the industry for pretty much his entire life, starting with riding as a kid to working in the parts department which eventually lead to a managerial position and then eventually opening his own store,” Allen Delius of ProSource Motorsports stated. “Over the years, Rusty has developed relationships with some of the best known names in the industry and established a loyal customer base that follows him where he goes.”

ProSource Motorsports got its start in Yorkville, IL and it quickly grew after its fourth year in business. “After four years we moved to our current location in Morris, IL,” Delius said. “We have more than quadrupled our square footage and staff. There are over 30 people working at ProSource and it’s a close-knit group of people who are more friends than co-workers. It creates an atmosphere like no other.”

ProSource has three buildings at their current location, one for their sales floor, parts and accessories department. Another for their service department and their third is for storage. Their parts department alone is over 8,000 square feet dedicated to parts, accessories and apparel.

They are also well known for hosting many special events throughout the year, “Our most well-known event is our annual Mollycross, which is held in September every year,” Delius stated. “It’s a day of riding held at Sunset Ridge MX Park in memory of Rusty and Lori Ott’s daughter Molly Elizabeth Ott. Last year we rose over $10,000 for Camp Odayin (a summer camp for kids with heart disease). We also have monthly rides throughout the summer and free cookouts every Saturday for our customers. At our open house in July, we will give away a motorcycle. Keep an eye on our website for details at www.prosportsmotorsports.com.”

This year ProSource and the ASAMT have teamed up with ProSource Motorsports & Pony Xpress as the Official Motor Coach of the ASA Midwest Tour. This Sunday, they will have a variety of items on display at Grundy County Speedway prior to the running of the fifth ASAMT event of the season. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and get a sneak peek of what they would find if they visit their large store in Morris, IL.

On Sunday, qualifying gets underway at 4:00 pm with the popular ASAMT Autograph Session starting at 4:45 pm. First race is at 6:00 pm.
