BURLINGTON, WI (Thursday, June 12, 2008) – ASAMT Officials along with the Keith Fleck Miller 100 organizers have announced that the event scheduled for Friday, June 13th has been postponed to a later date. Below is the note from Tim Olson & Steve Einhaus.
Attn All Teams:
I am sure that many or all of you are aware of the dramatic news that he been taking place in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. Currently all bridges leading in or out of Cedar Rapids except for the main I-380 bridge are closed. Flooding has incapacitated the downtown area and currently power has been eliminated from the track.
“I am saddened as to what has been happening around town and in area towns that are being flooded. We have to think about those people first and show our concern for those who are suffering. With that in mind, we will have to postpone the “Keith Fleck Miller 100,” stated event organized Dudley Fleck.
“We are working closely with the ASA Midwest Tour to announce the rescheduled race date as soon as all parties agree and are notified,” added Fleck. “Thanks again to all of the race teams that were going to attend our event and we look forward to seeing all of you soon.”
Tim Olson and Steve Einhaus
ASAMT Officials will be polling the race teams on a make-up date for this event. As soon as a decision is reached and all parties agree, an announcement will be made.
The next event for the ASAMT will be on Sunday, June 22nd at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL for the running of the ECHO Power Blower 100 presented by Hype.
