BURLINGTON, WI (Wednesday, March 12, 2008) – ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment officials have released the entry form for the season opening event on Saturday, April 19th (rain date Sunday, April 20) at Elko Speedway in Elko, MN. The Kwik Trip 125 will be the first event of 13 scheduled for the 2008 season.
Last year, a full house witnessed Hampton, MN’s Jonathan Eilen hold off fellow Minnesotan drivers Donny Reuvers (Dundas, MN) and Dean Cornelius (Chaska, MN) to win the inaugural ASAMT event at Elko.
2007 ASAMT Champion, Nate Haseleu, led a majority of the 125-lap event before succumbing to ignition problems with 10 laps to go, handing the lead over to Eilen for the win.
A total 51 cars attempted to make the 28-car field in 2007.
The feature event will pay $600 to start with $3,000 going to the winner.
The entry form is now available to download at www.asamidwesttour.com. Fax or e-mail entry forms will not be accepted in 2008.
All early bird entries received by Monday, April 7th will be put in a drawing to win a new Keith Dorton High Performance 4412 carburetor valued at $550. The drawing will take place at the driver’s meeting on race day.
Any entries received after Monday, April 14th will be considered as late entries.
