ASA Midwest Tour PR (Wednesday, May 12, 2010) The production team for the American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net has been working very hard and is putting the final touches on the first ASAMT televised event for 2010. Fox Sports Net provides coverage anywhere from the WIAA high school championships to Minnesota Wild hockey, the Milwaukee Brewers, the NBA, and the NFL reaching over 4 million households combined. Fox Sports WI reaches more than 1.5 million households and Fox Sports North reaches more than 2.5 million households throughout Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
This is the first of several events to be televised on the Emmy Award-winning Fox Sports Net for the 2010 ASAMT racing season. The show will air this Saturday, May 15th at 11:30AM CST on Fox Sports Wisconsin and at 3:30PM CST on Fox Sports North. The “Joe Shear Classic 136” presented by ECHO Chain Saws and the ASA OREGON Midwest Truck Tour “Joe Shear Classic 40” took place on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 at Madison International Speedway.
The ASAMT has put together a top of the line production team with over 30 years of combined television and broadcast experience. Host and Producer, Jim Tretow, is a well-known host and reporter in the motorsports industry with more than 25 years of experience. Pit reporter and production assistant, Jana Jurkovich, has several years of experience in television production along with an inside perspective of the sport. With over 15 years of experience in broadcast television, award-winning motorsports reporter, Bill Holland, is the show’s co-host and content director.
“This is a big step for the ASAMT and we could not have gotten to this point without the help of our series marketing partners, the tracks we attend, our racers, and our fans,” stated ASAMT VP, Steve Einhaus. The additional exposure and added value of televised events will reach beyond the series sponsors. Drivers, teams and team sponsors will benefit from the additional coverage in ways otherwise not attainable. Sponsors use televised events as venues for new opportunities to promote their products and services. Driver exposure will no longer be limited to the grandstands, but will extend to the homes of over 4 million viewers. Join everyone involved with the ASA Midwest Tour by tuning in to Fox Sports Wisconsin and Fox Sports North this Saturday.
