BURLINGTON, WI (Thursday, October 9, 2008) – The 39th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway is one of the more popular racing events in the country. This past weekend, Cameron Dodson got to experience his first Oktoberfest and made the most of it as he finished sixth in his first start with the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment.
“I would consider my first Oktoberfest a great experience. I was very pleased at the outcome,” Dodson, from Greenfield, IN, stated after driving a super late model prepared by Tim Schendel and his Iron Eagle Motorsports Team. “I enjoyed working with Tim Schendel and his crew guys; they were great guys, worked very hard and gave me an excellent car. I enjoyed the competition of the race, the series was enjoyable to work with, and the race has a lot of history.”
Dodson already has a strong racing resume driving under the Rising Star Driver Development, LLC banner. The 2007 USAC Silver Crown Rookie of the Year drives the #199 C&R Chassis for Carl Edwards/R.E. Technologies Team.
