Wimmer Partners with Nashville Businesses for All American 400 Weekend

Wausau, WI October 26th, 2009- Chris Wimmer and Wimmer Racing are pleased to announce a partner- ship with State Water Heaters, the Nashville Ferguson Enterprises branch, and Dickens Turf and Land- scape supply for the All-American 400 Weekend at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Wimmer will race in the 250-lap Championship Racing Association (CRA) race Sunday afternoon. “The racetrack at the Fairgrounds is such a neat track,” says Wimmer, “I was really hoping to be able to race, but knew I’d need some sponsorship to do so. I can’t even express how grateful I am to State, Ferguson, and Dickens for coming on board to make it possible for me to race this weekend.”

State Water Heaters is a leading manufacturer of commercial and residential water heaters. Based out- side Nashville, State is working with the Nashville Ferguson Enterprises store with the sponsorship to help promote their commercial water heater delivery program. The State/Ferguson commercial water heater delivery program is a national program but the Nashville branch runs one of the most successful programs in the country. The commercial delivery program helps plumbers sell more State commercial water heaters by taking most of the hard work out of the commercial water heater installation. When using the program, plumbing contractors simply need to drain and unpipe the old water heater and Ferguson will deliver the new unit to the jobsite, lift it up any stairs or onto a roof and set it in place. The Ferguson folks will then carry away the old water heater and dispose of it. “We give the Ferguson branch special equipment to lift and move commercial water heaters and even climb stairs, really we just want to make things easier for them so they can focus on their businesses,” says Dennis DeBlock, State Water Heaters, national sales manager, “We’re excited that the three of us, Ferguson, State, and Wimmer racing are coming together to promote this national program that has such a heavy Nashville presence.”

Dickens Turf and Landscape supply also comes on board for the 250-lap race. ECHO outdoor power equipment is a huge supporter of the ASA Midwest Tour, where Chris raced full time in 2009, and Dick- ens is an ECHO dealer in the Nashville area. With three locations in the Nashville area, Dickens is avail- able for ‘all your turf, landscaping, and equipment needs’. “We are so excited to be partnering with Wimmer Racing this weekend,” says Brian Dixon, owner of Dickens Supply, “As an ECHO dealer we proudly support Chris and the ASA Midwest Tour. We hope Nashville is a success for him and look for- ward to his race Sunday in our area.”

With such great support in the Nashville area, Wimmer hopes to repeat his success from last year. In 2008 he finished 2nd in the 200-lapASA Southeast Tour race at Fairgrounds Speedway. Leading with ten laps to go, the #52 Chevy had a motor problem, causing Wimmer to lose the lead, but he held on for a runner-up finish.

“My car was really good there last year,” says Wimmer, “I know that the CRA Series gets some really good drivers and it will be tough to contend for the win again, but I really hope we can get it done. It would be awesome to come home with a guitar.”

The All American weekend will be a three day event. Wimmer practices Friday with more practice and qualifying Saturday. The 250-lap feature will begin Sunday at 1p.m. You can purchase tickets at the gate and for those of you not in the Nashville area, log on to www.speed51.com and follow a link to listen live.
